On Daire’s final morning at home, everything seems as it has always been. He has breakfast with his sister Saorlaith, before she drives him to the airport. A lifelong inclination to never discuss what is actually at hand leads to meaningless conversations and arguments. The push and pull of a sibling relationship leads them along winding roads to the airport, where they refuse to say goodbye.

Milly (Jessie Bedrossian) is about to give her first live TV interview on behalf of the climate group she's part of. Sam (Joshua Akehurst ), her sort of, maybe, possibly, boyfriend, who has accompanied her to the studio, excitedly shows her a just-released article in which the leader of the climate group made this comment about the Holocaust.
Having been drafted in last minute for the interview slot, Milly was already nervous. Now, she's grappling with how she'll respond to this added dilemma.
As the clock ticks down, realisation dawns on Milly – a Jewish woman – about why she's been asked to step in today.

The War Within is a war of becoming. Loosely inspired by Freud’s The Ego & The Id, the story unfolds in a liminal space inside the mind. Three parts of the self - the Unconscious, the Self Conscious & the Aware Self, journey towards awakening.
The Unconscious, leading by instinct finds freedom in the mind, but this is dashed by the Self Consciousness (an egoic part of the self), which subdues the Unconscious and begins to overwhelm the mind.
This imbalance leads to the rational mind, the Aware Self, to rise up. Finally, all these parts converge to form a unitary self, in harmony, arriving at an awakening.
A film by Keeran Anwar Blessie in collaboration with Hannah Grennell.
